Ohio's Re-Starting Healthcare Guidance

Governor DeWine Issues Detailed
Guidance on Healthcare Phase-In

Last night, Governor DeWine released detailed guidance on restarting healthcare in Ohio, which is scheduled to begin today, May 1, 2020. The guidance covers testing, screening, personal protective equipment requirements, patient communications, office environmental factors, phase-in of procedures, and a variety of other information. It is important for all physician practices to review this guidance. Whether you have been closed and are re-opening your practice or surgery center, or you have remained open but will be dealing with an increase in patient volume, it is critical that all physicians to understand what this guidance means for their practices.

In addition the guidance, the governor also released webinar slides that review the Responsible Restart Ohio for Healthcare.

The guidance and webinar reflect the official order released last night from Department of Health Director Dr. Amy Acton covering Ohio restarting various aspects of the economy.
